Advice on Creda 550C electric shower

Hello there
I was wondering if anyone can offer advice relating to the above electric shower. We installed it about 18 months ago and recently, even though the temperature dial is on the absolute minimum, the water is scorching hot.
Do you think it needs some adjusting or has it broken down? Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
