I can't get my mac number from my isp until my 12 months is up?
The question I have is:-
I have a net work card in my main computer and why it is connected wirelessly with my laptop it comes up with a mac number and client associated. I wondered if this is the mac number for the main computer?
Does the isp provide the original mac number or is the number unique to the computer?

You are getting your MAC number (needed to transfer your service to a new broadband provider) confused with a MAC address (Media Access Control address, a hardware address that uniquely identifies each node of a network.
