Converting Clubcard points to Airmiles - how long does it take?

I've never spen my clubcard points on airmiles before but would like to for a flight at the end of next month.

How long does it take for my clubcard points to be transfrred to my airmiles balance?

On the blurb on the Tesco website it says 28 days - however I'd need them to be there much sooner than that!

Just a bit worried about converting to airmiles but them not showing up in my account instantly so I can go ahead and book a flight. It also says that you can't change them back.

I usually get the points showing up in my Airmiles account within 2 days. It might take a bit more time if you don't already have an Airmiles account because they'll have to set one up for you.

You'll need a lot of Tesco points to get enough Airmiles - they don't swop at one to one - sorry, I don't know the actual rate of exchange.

Good use of them though - I have enough for two flights to California.

Look at the alternative way of spending Tesco Points though - they're worth four times face value on cross channel ferries

Two days sounds lightning fast to me. Usually closer to 4 or 5 in my experience, but you might get lucky.

Part of the reason is that Tesco don't ask for your AIRMILES number at any point. Apparently they just match your name and address, which seems like a slow process...

Echo the advice to make sure your AIRMILES account is up and running before you do the conversion.

That is the risk you take, unfortunately.

I changed some on 12 August and they were on my account the next day. They still show as NOT yet dispatched on Tesco, but have already been spent on my Airmiles!

Ensure your Tesco account and Airmiles accounts have identical names, addresses etc otherwise it may cause a delay.

Thanks all - have ordered them tonight - fingers crossed they turn up fast! I was really worried that Tesco hadn't asked for my airmiles account number - seems a very convoluted way of doing things!
