Processor Speeds/Cache

Options
How much difference is there between a laptop with Processor Speed 2GHZ Bus of 667MHZ/ 2MB Processor Cache and a Laptop with Processor Speed of 1.86GHZ Bus of 533MHZ and 1MB Cache. Is there a very noticable difference when using it for internet, word processing, music downloading and e-mail.

For those applications there will be very little difference.

There will be a difference in performance between the two CPUs. The 2GHz chip will run instructions 7 or 8 per cent faster on average than an equivalent 1.86GHz one, so not a big deal for basic applications. The L2 cache and FSB speed will make the most difference when large amounts of data are processed: things like video transcoding, intensive database analysis, etc. Basic tasks won't suffer too greatly by a lower L2 cache and FSB, but if the price difference isn't too great, I'd still be tempted to get the better chip.
