in Credit cards
Afternoon,
My OH owes around £4700 on credit cards, of that I have taken out 2 0% BT cards in my name and have transfered £1700 to the cards (Virgin and Mint).
I am now thinking of applying for a furthur card of 0% to help shift that £3000 that remains on the original high interest card. I was thinking of applying for a Barclays card but the problem is the current debt is with Barclays so I cannot transfer it straight to the new card with Barclays (if im accepted)
So, even though this seems a really long process could I Balance Transfer the 2 balances of £1700 from the Virgin and Mint cards that are 0% BT to the new Barclaycard and then transfer the orignal amount of £3000 to the Mint and Virgin card? both of these cards are only about a month old but I didnt know if you could BT twice?
Sorry if that seems a little confusing
Thanks

the debt balances aren't tagged in any way so there's nothing to stop you doing this apart from the BT fees which wil mount up - though not anything like the interest you're trying to avoid....do your maths though and make sure you keep a close eye on where everything is as there will be some time lag with the transfers - also don't miss any payments in the shuffleFor what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070
