Who else is affected with my debt?

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me out on this one? I have been with a debt management company for over six years now and still ploughing on with about £33,000 left to go. I may seek some advice on my debt soon, but in the mean time I was wondering who else gets affected with my debt??

I know my name is branded bad, but does my home address get branded and anyone else (ie my fiancee) get a bad name? I'm not clear on this and would really appreciate some clear explanations to this. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from someone soon.

If you and your fiancee have financial products together then you are financially linked so she could be effected.

If you have been on your DMP then I should imagine your credit history is not as bad as you imagine. Your credit rating is only effected by a DMP by the defaults or CCJs (if you got any) the further in your history they are the better, bearing in mind you usually get them at the beginning of your DMP and they only stay on your history 6 years you could be better than you realise.

Now may be a good time to write to all 3 credit agencies and request a copy to see what they are like.

Any reason you haven't gone with one of the free charities like the ones in my signature?
What fee are you paying the *insert expletives* DMC to handle the DMP for you? I'll bet in 6 years that amounts to thousands...

As for who else is affected then only people with linked financial products - mortgage, loan, bank accounts etc will be affected by association. No-one will be linked just for living at the same address - if they are then they can get the association removed by the credit reference agencies by writing a letter or sometimes just an email.
