Beware, dont know if it applies to all MBNA cards, but after a year plus of having the same payment due date, both moi and OH noticed on latest statement the payment has jumped to 5 days earlier. Could affect someones direct debit into being late.

How? Seeing as MBNA are in charge of collecting the direct debit payment.

I think dc means it could affect someone who pays their balance shortly after they got paid (salary) so their current account wouldn't have sufficient funds to make the direct debit.... So rather than being charged a late payment fee, they would either go overdrawn in their current account, or the bank wouldn't take the DD, which would then cause a missed payment on the CC and thus incur another charge! Bl**dy banks...

Nope, I think they mean standing order.

Most banks say (or at least, used to say) that you couldn't specify a specific payment date but a range of dates. This meant you had to be careful not to choose a date which could at the extremes be too early for pay-day.

Sorry I meant standing order, but main point is to get people to look at their MBNA statements more closely this month to prevent loss of 0% and/or late payment charges.
