.. WARNING ... WARNING ... kettle from tescos

I dont know if this is the right place to post PLEASE move to appropriate place if not
HINARI Ellipse 2 Litre ( 3 KW ) rapid boil kettle ( box number JS050SS ) if you have purchased one of these items within the last year be VERY CAREFUL as they have been found to be FAULTY ....
I purcased 2 of these 5 months ago the first packed up after 3 months so took it back and got refund the second HOWEVER after 6 weeks of use started to give off a very powerful burning plastic smell again took it back to tesco and told alot of people had returned them.
I have just tried to contact customer service to see if this item had been recalled but they had all gone home !
