  • Hi

Baby wipes (any brand) are great for cleaning a leather suite and if you use the fragranced ones they leae a lovely smell.

I use baby wipes for regular cleaning. The once in a while a bit of really good leather cream (the stuff specially for furniture, or a handbag polishing cream).

Unlikely they'd get paint splashes off, luckily I don't have any of those - but you could try (carefully!!!!!) with the paint wipes you can now get in Homebase. Or just water and a microfibre cloth?

EDITED: Also, I'd get most of the dust off with a hoover before using the babywipes- else you just rub up some gunge.......

Snap on the baby wipes, magicmaria ;)

Thanks for that pink winged (gorgeous name :D ) I've checked those out, because we're getting 2 3 seater chocloate leather sofas delivered in a few weeks.

One of the posts in the threads suggests Lakeland as a place to look. I just typed in leather as a search and it came up with a few things, worth bearing in mind:

    Nourishing Leather Wipes

Effortlessly remove everyday dust, fingermarks and tea splashes from leather upholstery.
With a texture that gets right into the grain, these extra large quick-drying, disposable wipes contain natural lanolin to nourish the leather as they clean.

Why not give them a try in the car or on your shoes?

    Each 4½" x 10½"
    (11 x 27cm).
Pack of 24 – 1 cloth enough for a whole
    3-piece suite.

Just £1.50 a packet! bargain (although I have a hunch they are pretty much baby wipes  )

My ex mother in law (thank god) had black leather sofas which she used to clean with a baby oil. She said it would clean the leather, condition it, make it shiny, stop it from cracking and make it smell nice all at once. I think you had to wait a couple of hours for it to sink in before you sat on it though.
