I wet a few years ago and thought it was great but it was out of school holidays.

I would expect it to be busy in school holiday season and being near Britains 2nd biggest city dosent help.

I can understand it was gonna be busy with it being school holidays. But it doesnt help when there is lack of queuing barriers and staff to help the excess volume of people. We queued for an hr just for a 2 min ride on Thomas, because the lack of queuing system. People were joining the queue all over the place, as there was no set place to queue once out of the main entrance to the main ride, which in turn made the waiting time longer and longer.

Also in Thomasland because all the rides are so close in a confined space it was hard to determine where one rides queue started and ended, some rides all the queues were melting into one. So you would queue up for ages only to find out you were in the wrong queue for the ride you wanted to go on.

Yes. EXACTLY. Not enough staff in the park to sort things out.

It looked to me a case of get their money, pack them in, dont waste money on staff...
;13744115]Went to Drayton Manor with wife and 4 yr okld son yesterday. Worse theme park I've ever been to unfortunately.

- Queues were massive. Only managed to go about 5 rides all day.
- Queuing system is rubbish. They seem to spill over everywhere and theres no signs anywhere telling you how long queues for each ride are.
- Hardly any staff working on the rides, so load times are very slow.
- Place was filthy dirty. Rubbish everywhere, toilets disgusting.
- Huge queues for food too.
- Some of the rides seem a bit rundown. Could do with a lick of paint.
If I was going with my wife and 4yr old son (who would not be of school age), I'd sure as hell not go in the school holidays! Try going back on a midweek in September and you'll have the park to yourself.

When I have been (and I've been 3 times), I have found it to be a great day out.

I went a couple of weeks ago and the place was filthy. The toilets were absolutely disgusting. I also noticed that quite a few of the attractions were closed. Personally, I thought the entry fee was far too high for a place of such low standard!
