Advice on Runescape Power levelling

Options
My son & his friends play on this Runescape thing, which admittedly I don't really understand but they all seem to enjoy it!

We've not subscribed to anything payment wise (as far as I'm aware!) and they play on it for free, however he's asked me to 'power level' his account via a site called 'usfine'. Can anyone explain how this works to me and tell me if they've had any experience in doing this i.e. is it a reputable company, if I sign up are they likely to be taking regular amounts from my account etc.?

Powerleveling is when you pay someone to log into your game characters account and plays the game for you. They also provide you with in game money or items depending on how much you are willing to spend. Most of the time this is against the policies of the company that owns and runs the online game so no, its not a reputable company, none of them are.

Thanks for that, that's basically how I had understood it. And I did have my concerns with regards to the password thing etc. but am advised by my son that you change your password once they up your level & game money.

He tells me that a few of his friends parents have used this particular site without problems but you can never be too sure can you? I'm just sick of him pestering me constantly about this!

  • I myself have played runescape  (it got very addictive) And i found that many people had their accounts hijacked after paying someone to power level up. They can also change your password email address even may be able to access address (?!) once they have your account information.

I really would say dont do it as its way to risky and your son may have to start all over again. I did find that paying the subscription for a few months helped me get more powerfulas there are more things youcan do, like training facilities etc :D

It is a very good game but there are nasty people out there.
