Hi,
After buying my female cat (Tally) some Whiskas 'Oh So Meaty' and 'Oh So Fishy' pouches when they were on a Bogof at Tesco a while ago, she will not now eat anything else. I have tried her on all sorts of other pouches/trays. Sheba etc and she turns her nose up at them all apart from the 'Oh So' range. (she will eat fresh cooked chicken or fish though).
The problem is that Whiskas 'Oh so' pouches are over £4.00 for a box of 12. Does anyone know where I can get them cheaper, either online or if any supermarkets etc have them on offer so I can stock up?.
I don't begrudge buying Tally things she likes but she gets through two full boxes in a little over a week (two or sometimes three per day) and I could do to reduce her costs a bit.
Thanks
Pete

Have you tried her on Whiskas from a tin?
When we took Lily in her previous owner gave us Felix in pouches. When those ran out she refused to eat tesco own brand that Coco was happily eating. We found a compromise with Felix from a tin.
Now Coco thinks its xmas everyday as she is on Felix too:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Not sure which ones exactly, but definitely saw that ASDA have a current offer on the Whiskas pouches, (12 in a box). 3 boxes for £6. Offer on until 26/8/08. Could be worth stocking up on if these are your cat's favourites.0

Hi,
Just a note to add that I found out yesterday that Sainsbury's currently have Whiskas 'Oh So' Meaty and Fishy on sale at half price (£2.09 instead of £4.18 for a pack of 12 pouches).
I stocked up yesterday and now have a happy cat again. I think I will go and raid the shelves again today!!

This is a real swine of an issue - I tried to buy these from my wholesaler and they were not prepared to give me any discount at all (I could save about 10p)- it would appear that there is not a lot of gross margin on pet food and this is why you find it difficult to save money.
I have 3 cats and they get through loads of these pouches. I do find the offers are more frequent on Felix As-good-as-it-gets and I got 10 boxes of 12pouches out of Tesco on Monday for £3 per box. My cats actually prefer the premium Felix to the WhiskasGarantissez-moi de mes amis, je saurai me defendre de mes ennemis0
