Start new credit status from scratch??

Hey 1st post here, although used the site as reference before a few times now.

I basically need help deciphering if this site is for real... and if getting a totally new credit file is actually possible like these people claim?

So im in my gmail and theres an ad on the top strip for this site....

My initial assumption is 'too good to be true, must be a load of BS'.... but then I thought what better place to seek a definitive answer than this site. I intended to email martin lewis (lol) and then saw that hes a bit busy etc.

Anyone heard of this before/know if its legit?

Im hoping that Im not duplicating a thread... had a quick scan and can't find anything on this yet....

No. Well, yes, but what it's advertising likely isn't.

They aren't claiming anything. There's too many may-be's and double talk.

Anyways... To take a few of their points on that page:

You may have CCJs, defaults, a poor payment history, maybe even experienced bankruptcy, repossession or...

There is nothing you, or they, can legally do to remove these off your credit record if they are on there legitimately.

This you can do something about. And you don't need to pay anyone to do it. You either get the company who put the wrong information on there to remove it, or you add a notice of correction. No charge.

you may have a credit record that has been tarnished through absolutely no fault of your own, which is even worse!

Sounds dodgy to me, (ignoring the fact they haven't run a spell checker over the site) and as they admit themselves ("IMPORTANT - if credit reference agencies decide to “plug” the loophole, (and we know for a fact they are in crisis talks to do this) we will sadly have to withdraw this offer immediately."), any loopholes will likely be closed, and probably made retrospective negating anything you do with this.

Knowing how the CRA's work, this must mean creating fictitious data for 'payments' made over the past 6 years.

They accept data from financial institutions and pass it back to other institutions. Not too difficult.

In summary, it's someone's get-rich scheme. They charge a tenner for what is probably an A4 sheet of paper that tells you stuff that you can do for free, or potentially (either now or in the future) illegal things to do to remove stuff from your credit report that should be on there.

thanks paul, couldn't have asked for a more thorough reply.

im in the process of trying to get rid of entries that were made unfairly on my file, its really causing me probs. ill have a dig about on the site for more info on that.
