I'm trying to book leics to london return - the booking says london victioria coach station but i need to get off and on a golders green. The coach arrives at goldres green before victoria on the way down so no issues there but on the return, I'd have a ticket that says frm london victoria to leics but would actually get on at golders green!
Any advice on whether this will work?
I assume you're booking a 'funfare', in which case the answer is on the NE website.0 -
23rd September, Edinburgh to London for £1, shame I'd working or I'd just go for the sake of it.
Thought it might help someone else though.Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Many thanks...0

Thank you v much! :beer:0 -
Any ideas on how to get lower cost fares between London Heathrow and Stansted?
I find my cheap Ryanair flights, but then the cost of the National Express coach is exorbitant, cheap deals are never available between airports.
Any ideas out there?

You could try the Green Line 724 to Harlow (used to be about £7) and then train to Stansted (about£6).
There may even be a cheaper bus from Harlow to the airport.0 -

Next time you make an enquiry like this be sure to click on 'save this journey' to save the price you've found otherwise when you go back to National Express you may have to pay more.
There are lots of Birmingham/Manchester funfares for £1. And the Birmingham - Leicester return is £8.30.
Total £10.30 return.0 -

There are a few buses that go to Stansted from Harlow. Phone numbers for these services can be found on their website. Or you could try phoning Arriva direct on 0191 520 4000.
You'll find options for routes & bus times at the top of their home page.

Their contact form can be found here.
I found this number on SayNoTo0870 for Arriva 01582 584 478 which covers Essex & Aylesbury.0 -
If the bus goes via Golders Green the driver will always let you off. I use the NE to London a lot and never get off at the termination point. As long as you have no luggage that is!
You will have problem getting on at Golders Green unless your ticket says so because the driver checks you in when getting on. If there is no one down for picking up at Golders Green he might not stop! Why can't you just get a return to Golders Green. You will have to pay more unfortunately but it would avoid any problems.0 -

I also know that they only advertise the funfares for the next 30 days so you cannot book any for Oct yet. One other good thing is the shoppers discount cash back reward. I did one booking on Nat Express & then got the follow up screen offering this cash back from shoppersdiscountrewards.co.uk. I filled it in, sent them the booking confirmation & got a cheq for £15 !!! :T
The best deal i did get was My daughter from Sheffield to London £1. London to Canterbury £1. Then i picked her up from Canterbury in the car. This save me going into London on train £13.20 return then her train ticket £15.00. If i took the car the congestion TAX £8 !!. There are some real bargainsAnyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
