Hi all
Got a problem getting my sony dvp ns76h and Liteon dvd recorder to recognise a Boots compact disc recordable cd-r disk with my babies photos on them. The disk says ideal for video/data/audio. I burnt the phots from my computer hard drive to this disk - dell 9200 dimension computer - and the photos will play on the computer .......On the sony dvd the message reads 'cannot play this disk' and on the liteon reads'fail'. Have looked at each dvd player and they are able to play nearly every kind of format going so why cant either of them recognise what my computer can??? Am i being thick or does the fact that i used the computer to burn the disk make a difference?
Thanks to all who care to respond.

It depends entirely on how you created the CD. You need to create it as a Photo-CD0

My computer uses Vista - there is only a Burn cd icon at the top of the screen - no other options are available. Where do i need to search to create the cd as Photos??
thanks for the reply

Could it be that you did not finalise the disc - if so it would work on your PC but not on any other player.0

Many BIG name players won't play things like that.....you normally find the cheap ones in tesco play pretty much everything
its probably just that and nothing you have done...if its plays on another pc then its your DVD player and not your faultIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
I'm having real problems in Vista burning photos to CD. I use the burn button, but then it tells me I have unwritten files waiting to go on to disc? I'm completely confused, it used to be so simple pre vista?!0

Suggest you google for free software that will burn cd's for you.0

Cheers for the advice - will give it a go. Have changed disks to a philips cd-r and have managed a burn of the photos BUT even tho i saved in date order no matter how i try the disk runs from half way through each time!!! Even saved photos 1 to 180 in 1 file and saved to disk which was not rewritable and then saved photos 181 to 360 in another file and burnt to same disk and guess what..........181 to 360 started up then 1 to 180!!!! Whatever i do i cant get the photos burnt in date order even tho they are in order in the files to be burnt. Any ideas on this one?
thanks a lot

Try CDBurnerXP. It's free, works on Vista and has a very easy to use interface.0
