Travelodge Card Bookings - no booking but money taken from bank

Has anyone else been hit with Travelodge problems when booking with Solocards? We made a booking last week and were told that the had issues with solocards so payments/bookings could not be made. However they have taken the money for the booking from our account and firstly they denied it (even though Bank confirmed they had been paid), secondly they state there is no booking for us, then that are dealing with these customer problems but the money would be returned within 24 hours later. It has now been days and the money has not been returned. I have called and emailed but no one returns these messages. Travelodge are holding onto our money but we have no booking reservation with them - nor would i ever again. I cannot speak to anyone in customer services as other staff say they have no telephones??? I have asked to speak with Supervisors/Managers but they will not take the call. I am so annoyed but hitting a brick wall - can anyone advise?

    Write and tell them that you want your money back within 7 days and that if this is not the case that a claim will be started in the County Court and that the cost of issuing will be added to what they owe you.

  • Debit cards refunds can take up to 10 days to come back into the account.
