Norman antivirus and a trojan ?

Hi, complete novice here.......NO, dont run away, come and help me 
Ok, Daughter bought a laptop yesterday and it has Norman antivirus installed on it. Today I tried to download spyware doctor (cos someone told me to) and when I went to install it Norman came up with the following :
Trojan W32/Hupigon.DTJT it said something was quarantined ? and I uninstalled the spyware doctor.
Help, do i need to be worried or is it just that Norman doesnt like spyware Doctor

I'm with a false positive from Nortons, probably detecting Spyware doctors definitions as the problemEx forum ambassador

Typical Norton, king of the false positive. I recommend getting rid of anti-virus software of if you are very inexperienced with computers use NOD32 or something similarly awful0
