The Bank of England Museum is free

I'm not sure if they still do it but the last time we went with kids, they were given a quiz paper and when they handed it in, they were given a print of the museum and a pin badge.

Why should you - paper London Travelcards qualify you for the offers and the 1 & 3 day paper travelcards are obtainable from all Tube stations - but the 7 day paper Travelcards have to be bought at a train station in order to qualify

Down boy, it was only one suggestion (again) of how to buy a cheap ticket in order to qualify for the Southeastern Trains deal (which are the only ones I ever look at leaflets for as I use a Southeastern station). Plus, depending on where they are coming from, and what the purpose and length of their visit is, not everyone needs a travelcard. I rarely buy a full travelcard to get around - usually use just a train only one. Of course there are other 2 for 1 deals and all manner of ways to qualify for them. Hence the suggestion to look at the website for further details...
Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...

    - National galllery & National Portrait gallery are both free, plus you have Trafalgar Square & Whitehall right in front.

    - Covent Garden (lots of buskers etc)

    - Walk from Tower Bridge tube station past Southwark Cathedral (free but they like donations) past Borough market, past the Golden Hind replica, the Clink prison museum (they charge entry) and along the riverbank to the Globe theatre (free entry to the foyer which hasposters etc etc & browse the giftshop) then cross on the 'bendy bridge' towards St Pauls or go to the Tate Modern or continue along the South Bank to County Hall. Loads to see!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • British Museum, Imperial War Museum and the National Gallery. Those are all free and worth the trip to London by themselves.
