sdhc compatability?

hi guys,im after a 4gb sd card,on play there are 4gb sdhc cards(high capacity) for 7.99.....i know the new camera i just bought accepts this card but how can i tell if the reader built into my laptop is sdhc compatable as i believe some readers will only do normal sd cards and not sdhc cards.also do any of the instore photo machines i.e.supermarkets,jessops have any problems reading these cards to?or am i better going for a normal sd card?

Sandisk sdhc "micromate" readers are under £5 delivered from ebay. Without the wait.
7dayshop have them if you need any other techie fodder ordered at the same time to reduce the £3.95 delivery charge.0
