I’m Confused about Isa’s

Options
I’m Confused about Isa’s I get the general idea of them but it’s the difference between cash and investments that gets me.

I understand £3,600 can be cash and the other £3,600made up of other investments.

Do these have to kept in one ISA that can manage both cash and investments? Or can I have two separate Isa’s and just make sure I don’t go over the yearly limit?

Also it said in the guide that stockbrokers normally run an ISA for you if you want to put investments within it. Is it possible to operate one yourself?

You can have two seperate ISA providers, one cash & one shares, in fact it is preferable because cash ISA providers, like Building Societies pay more interest

You will need a stockbroker like Hargreaves Lansdowne, or online equity ISA provider such as Selftrade, or a unit trust or suchlike to run an equity ISA, this I believe are part of the Tax rules governing them, it is not DIY tax option
