    If you have standard ones that you want to "build-in" you do need plenty of ventilation, especially behind and above. Make sure there is plenty space behind them, do not push them too far back. And leave several inches open above.
    The special built-in ones do have designated ventilation, but you can do it with existing ones if you can give them enough space.

    Thanks. Do you know of a way to fit the cabinet doors on to the appliance? I have googled clips, but couldn't find any...

    All good advice but 600 cabinets will not house wm or td really as will be knocked to pieces, 2 x 400 doors are a bit clumsy. When we do this for clients we design a 650 wide unit extra deep 650-700 depending on appliance pipework, so it is possible, but not from your average diy store
