Hi All,
I'm a buy-to-let landlord with some Chinese tenants. They are interested in getting some Chinese TV channels. They already have the basic (£18 per month) Sky package with free broadband but want more than the two available Chinese channels.
Is it possible to get more? How? Would I need to get a second dish on the side of the house? How much would it cost to install? Would there be a monthly subscription? What would they get for their money?
Thanks, Rusty G.

You'd need the mother of all satellite dishes set up in the back garden to be able to pick up the satellites broadcasting to China. TBH, I doubt it's even possible as I think they'd be over the horizon so no direct line of sight.
Lyngsat has some on ( http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/China.html) but I don't know how you'll go about it TBH. In short, it ain't going to be easy or cheap and the size dish you need would need planning permission.0 -
Not sure which ones they would currently be able to get, but maybe they could get one more (or different ones) with a motorised / movable freesat system? There's apparently 3 free to air ones in UK.
Here's the info for tuning: http://www.international-satellite.com/channels/chinese_channels.aspx
There are of course internet based solutions that would require a really fast and preferrably unlimited broadband connection, and would probably be slightly low quality. But as it's a legal grey area, it'd be best to research that elsewhere, instead of discussing here.Russia is HERE0 -
