Recliner chairs are they comfortable+ looking for one with a fairly modern design

Options
Hi i have been thinking about buying a recliner armchair for a while. I have never used one before and i was wondering just how comfortable they are. I have seen some that don't seem to raise your legs up that high and some with the seating position i don't know how comfortable something like that would be. I do wonder if they would be something that you would use for a little while and then stop using it like you can do with other things? I notice as well that there are quite a number of them on Ebay for sale that are only a few months old.

I have seen some in Laura Ashley and i like the basic shapes of those chairs. They are not that big and they are not gaudy looking either.

This is not bad either but i am not really keen on Ikea.

The basic shape of this is not bad either-

So now you know what sort of style i like could anybody recommend any to me barring ebay maybe that they have seen being sold for a more reasonable price?
I was looking really at getting a medium to dark brown leather which would be ideal really as fabric can stain easily. I am also considering getting one in green or green and white fabric as well if i see one that i like that is a very decent price. I am also looking for a manual recliner chair.

Right now i have a 2-3 seater brown leather Vintage tanning company sofa and i also have something a little similar to this but it is a smaller and it is green and i have a footstool with it as well.

With leather, Klein, you would slip and slide all over the place.
I have 3 recliners fabric got them from auctions and one from Freecycle. Buying S/H need to be checked carefully.
On my recliners the bac k reclines and the footstool comes up. To my way of thinking bad for your back. Bum and back should be at right angles, don't know if they are made like that. You need to try out lots. The seat on electric recliners drops, then the back reclines and footstool comes up.
  • ken68 thanks for your help. I will sign up to freecycle and see what is going on there. It looks like i should avoid getting a leather one then. I don't have any stores near me that sell recliner chairs and i don't that i be able to go and check any out but i will try to.

The best recliner I have is no more comfortable than the cheapest, but has better fabric and strongly made, heavy and cumbersome.
The cheapest will eventually go into my potting shed/den
    and easily moved about.
Seems you are paying for LauraAshley name, £400 seems nearer the mark for a comfortable operating chair.
