Good CS: Orange

Got my Orange bill through yesterday and decided it was time to take action over something I'd been meaning to do for months - last time I upgraded, they asked if I wanted a couple of "packages" added on a 2 month trial basis...I could tell right from then that I'd end up paying for them whatever, but they assured me all I'd have to do was reply to a text they'd send me when the trial was coming to an end, so in the end I agreed.

Needless to say, 6 months on, there's been no text and I've been billed 6.80+ vat extra each month for these things. (which, the bill shows, I really haven't used much...)

Anyway, I got all fired up, called them up, got even more angry waiting on hold. (around 3 or 4 minutes, I guess).

Once I got through, I told the woman what the problem was, she said "oh, I'm very sorry, I'll cancel it now and refund you what you've paid". She could only authorise payments for up to £30, but seeing as that's around the amount I figured I was owed, I wasn't complaining. And that was that. No need to scream or shout at them...I was quite disappointed in the end, was in the mood for a good argument... :)

  • I have just left Vodafone after being released from a 18 month contract early due to them raising my costs.

I had been with orange for 9 years prior to this and found them good. I have a business contract now that costs £6 or so per month more (but I get free insurance) which balances out.

Vodafone = fight for a working phone if it goes faulty

Orange- called up SATURDAY at 5.30 pm with a faulty phone and they sent NEW phone via courier on SUNDAY at 9.40 am.
    That's service.
    baldly going on...
