I received my new phone today BUT I am not getting a signal.
Says limited service
Is there anything you can suggest?
It is a Samsung G600 on Vodafone

check to make sure the imei isnt all 0's (press *#06# at the main screen) or it hasnt been barred.
otherwise take the sim out and give it a clean, then try again0 -
done that still says the same:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0

is it NEW or is it just new to you because you just bought it?
Call your operator and see why its not on, usually they say turn it off for 48 hours, with the battery detached.Rules, Rules, Rules .....0 -
have you got another vodafone sim to try?
it may be that there are problems (or maintenance work going on) at your local vodafone mast and thats preventing the phone from connecting0 -
As far as I am aware it is new and it is new to me
I am new to Vodafone, could it be that the signal strength round here is never much good?:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -

I phoned Vodafone to discover they had not activated my sim card.

Thanks for your help:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
it amazes me that people ask for help, before doing the simplest things like talking to their service provider and asking.. why isn't it working!!0
-
because it could have been something really simple...the sort of thing that you would die of embarrassment when you find out the answer
thanks:rolleyes::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0
