It is worth making sure that current is not too high (for both the power supply and the battery). *AFAIK* optimal charging current (A) should be about 1/10 of the battery capacity (Ah), i.e. for 55Ah battery current should be about 5A.0

Current flow will be determined by the receiving battery's internal resistance.grumbler wrote:It is worth making sure that current is not too high (for both the power supply and the battery). *AFAIK* optimal charging current (A) should be about 1/10 of the battery capacity (Ah), i.e. for 55Ah battery current should be about 5A.
Typical voltage O/P's for a car battery charger are 13.8V float and 14.4V boost.0 -

If it's a Lead Acid type it's best to trickle charge it at .5A. It will be fully charged in 24Hrs. If you charge it too quickly the lead plates will buckle from the heat and ruin it.0

Why not put the battery on the bike, bump off if need be then go for a ride and let the bike charge it up?
This is assuming that you do have a bike.On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0
