Divorce process

My partner and I are about to start divorce procedings and want to make the process as simple and easy as possible.
We are both in agreement on the divorce proceding and it will be uncontested.
We are talking all the time and want to have everything agreed before the solicitors start making things complicated.
We have agreed on monthly maintenance without reference to CSA
we have agreed on access to kids
We have agreed on division of assets - house to be retained until oldest child is 16. Endowment kept until house sold. All assets 50 50 division
Agreed on personal assets to be taken when I move out.
What else do i need to consider.
Do I need a solicitor as well? If so why? I know what I will pay, I know when I can see kids (any time i like ) I know when assets will be sold and how much I will receive from that asset - 50% of net proceeds.
We have a property portfolio and this is already has a deed of ownership with each property and do not want to alter this in any way.
I am still in the house ( downstairs ) and we talk calmly and like adults without and shouting etc. We just want to agree everything first.
Thanks for any replies.

You can do the divorce yourself, it's very easy, but I would imagine you should consult a solicitor to write up an agreement regarding the finances - you may be amicable now but you don't know what might happen in the future, new partners etc. Don't forget agreement is also needed on pensions. I would suggest www.wikivorce.com for more help. Good luck.LBM:1/1/12Debts @ LBM:£43,546  Debts now: £9,486  78% PAIDFound YNAB 1/2/14 - the best thing EVER!0
