I spoke to A+L on the phone today, and the woman I spoke to was really nice, and she sounded positive I would get my £25 back, although she said the decision would be sent out by post. Still, after all the reports of bad A+L customer service I was quite impressed.
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

Good work. I've never spoken to anyone unhelpful at A&L, but others seem to have experienced different things. I think that it always helps to deal reasonably with the people you talk to in call centres. :D
  • It's always worth ringing up and querying bank charges imho - I worked for a bank for many years and if ever a customer rang up to complain about a bank charge we nearly always arranged for the charge to be cancelled if it was a one off - serial offenders got nowhere though I have to say.

I hope that you do get your charge back. :D

Well, for anyone that was following this, they refunded my £25 fee today! Yay.

Although after first ringing up on 21 Aug, I wrote a letter stating the same thing on 3 Sep because I hadn't heard anything from them by that time.
