Question on Stripping Wallpaper before Plastering

Options
Hi All,

We are due to have our bedroom walls plastered.

We have stripped the old wallpaper off, but there are tiny spots where the brown backing paper has been missed. Will this create a problem? Does every single speck of the backing paper need to come off?

I am asking because I've a very sore arm after spending the weekend scraping off woodchip....and not looking forward to spending another evening with the scraper.....

All advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

you might want to consider dry lining.

i have taken all the old crumbly bonding and plaster of the walls. it was reletively easy.

then i have lined the walls with plaster board using plaster board adhesive. now i will get a plasterer to skim over them.

there is a plastere in bradford that charges around £150 per room which includes the ceiling.
