We travelled on US airways a couple of years back, at the time we thought they were as good as BA far better than AA we also were on the Miami flight routed through Philadelphia, the food was OK the drink was free, i dont know what the situation is like now.
The internal flight was poor 3 hours sat without any entertainment, in other peoples mess from food they had brought on the plane and dirty disposable nappy's.0 -
alcoholic drinks cost money now... i've flown with them 6 times, but not in the past 12 months though...
they've changed and tweaked a couple of things, with regards to checking in bags, but i'm sure that only applies to internal flights, not on a transatlantic ticket..
bear in mind, you'll probably fly to philadelphia, clear immigration, collect bags, clear customs, recheck bag, and then go onto your next plane.. this is standard, and is to do with US customs, not US Airways, as i've seen complaints that it is the airlines fault!!!!!!!
I've been happy with their service, their legroom on the plane is better than virgin, hence me never flying virgin....0 -
just an addition.. as you are flying from europe, you get 2 checked bags free of charge, up to a weight of 23kg per bag..
this is per full adult paying passenger...0 -
US airways widebody aircraft have seating 2-4-2 and 2-3-2, so good if 2 are travelling together.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
