  • anything tacky, cheap.... full of 18-30's and syag do's etc... but really open for ideas
  • I would say head for Kos, Kos town is lovely, beautiful island, you can hire a car and drive all over the island, lovely food, diving opportunities etc...
God is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day
  • My brother has just spent a drunken week in Kos Town!!

Skiathos Town... Playa Blanca... they are my experiences anyway

    Ravello on the Amalfi coast.
  • North Cyprus is a real steal at the moment, thanks to a great exchange rate wih the Turkish Lira, and prices about a third less than in south Cyprus.

The historic coastal town of Kyrenia is a fab place to stay if you like to walk to good restaurants, explore winding medieval streets or just chill with a drink on a hotel terrace. For great prices, go to KyreniaHotels.co.uk, which has a special offer on at the moment for free half board upgrades at the Malpas Hotel.

If you prefer to be right on a golden sandy beach, look at the Acapulco Beach Resort, which will be quieter than during the summer months, and all the better for it.

If you prefer a villa (and I must say, I do) try the new site Amy Villas website. it's small but growing fast, and have a nice selection of villas. The real moneysaving tip here is that you can bbok by the day, not by a defined weekly block, so you can choose your dates and book your own flights - perfect!

Remember, you can always fly to south Cyprus on a budget airline and drive over into North Cyprus; you'll just need to buy some extra car insurance at the border (very easy). See cyprus-car for rates - this company are happy for you to take their cars into the TRNC.

  • Sorrento - lots of nice hotels (look on TripAdvisor) with fantastic views. The cobbled streets are teeming with excellent restaurants.
