Lloyds TSB Account Nightmare - Help Needed

Dear All, hope someone can offer me some much needed advice. I have a current account with Lloyds TSB which was used as an account for House bills, only about £280 tops coming in and out of the account each month. The overdraft limit on the account was £100, this was upped when moving to £150 and the account had a balance at £130 OD when checked last in March. However I since moved to London and had all Direct Debits cancelled from the account, and believed this to be an inactive account and never got round to changing the correspondance address on the account.
To my horror, last month I received a phone call from collections department stating that I now owe over £750 in bank charges as I was in an unplanned overdraft since May. Looking at my statement, the £150 overdraft had been reduced in May. I agreed to a payment plan of £100 per month in pure panic over the situation. However I have since sent a complaint to Lloyds regarding the amount of charges incurred on what has been an innocent error, and after all they only called me when it got to this desperate point. I have since received letters from Lloyds stating that they are looking into my complaint. However I do not feel it just to keep paying this £100 per month while the investigation takes place, after all it could take months!!! Any advice on whether I should go straight to the Ombudsman, or simply pay the £100 per month and hope for some of these ludicrous charges back?

Hiya,
I ended up in a similar situation with lloyds but my agrred o/d was 250...in the end they pout it up 820 then reduced it by 95 pound plus interest each month so i was paying in around 110 a month just to get it down to the agreed limit.
I ended up paying it and then putting the claim in whilst doing so, i also have recently gone to the FOS with my case and are just waiting for an ajudicator to take the case and speak with lloyds.
I know people say they have had pay outs from lloyds but to me they are evil, they say noone has had their money and noone will get it back...In my own experience i would pay it but others may think differently. I worry about anything and everything and being in that situation with them worried me so much i felt i had no other option but to just do it and then i wouldnt hear from them anymore.
