Stain removal help appreciated..

Options
My son's white PE polo shirt has got some sort of dye stain on it - i think its where his sports bag got wet and ran onto it.
I've washed it twice but theres still dark splodges on it. Its got an embroidered logo so I can't chuck bleach on it.
Any ideas how to shift it really appreciated as they are really expensive to buy.
Thanks

First - if you haven't dried the shirt yet (which might set the stain) put it in cold water to soak and keep wet...

..there are special dye catching sheets that you can buy to put in the wash that people speak well of.

Two threads that will help you are:-

    Dye runs:-

A basin of warm water with Vanish powder dissolved in it - put garment in to steeep for several hours or overnight and then wash as normal with some more vanish in the wash.

I save this for the "impossible stains " and it works very well.

Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
    Preemie hats - 2.
  • I have successfully used bleach in a spray bottle for situations like this, where the garment has non-white decoration which prevents soaking in bleach. Mix your bleach solution as you would for soaking clothes, but put it in a spray bottle (e.g. from Vanish spray-on stuff or something, but make sure your bottle is washed out first, because other cleaning products can interect with bleach). Hang or drape the top somewhere suitable, e.g. in the bath with a hanger on the handrail if your bath has one, and spray the bleach onto the affected area. Repeat if necessary, then wash as normal.
