This is a bit of a daft question
But the taskbar on my computer is really thick. Everytime I put the mouse near it & the double arrow comes up for me to make it a bit thinner the taskbar completely disappears. Its really annoying to have such a thick taskbar & I just want it to go back to its normal size.
I dont know how I changed it. It was just randomly clicking the mouse near it.
Any advice on how to fix this
Thanx

Hi
I think its called the taskbar. Its the bar at the bottom of the screen which has the start menu on it & further along the volume icon & time.
Ive just clicked lock taskbar, but its still remained a thick bar.
"Are you sure that it's the taskbar that is really thick?" You little meany :-(0 -
The "lock the taskbar" should *not* have a tick next to it if you want to resize it. Just make sure this is unchecked, then you should just be able to click on the top of the bar and drag it down to the height you want...0

Hi
Ive unlocked the taskbar & dragged it down, but it will only let me have the task bar really thick or it disappears. Theres no happy medium.0 -
If you right click the taskbar and choose properties make sure that there is a tick in the box that says to keep the taskbar on top of other windows
Don`t know if it definitely makes a difference or not, i was wondering if it auto hides once you`ve resized it.

If you hover the mouse over the taskbar it should come up with the up/down arrows, click and adjust accordingly...:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. if you press the windows key on your keyboard, does it come back up?0 -
Right-click on the Task Bar, select properties then make sure the "Auto Hide Taskbar" option is not ticked.
Then Drag the taskbar to normal size and select "Lock Taskbar" in the properties menu.
If the Taskbar is already locked then you need to unselect it and drag it to normal size first then lock it.0
