Virgin Media Bans Override Provider Codes

Since mid June, I have been unable to use the Override Providers numbers.
I phoned Virgin Media who confirmed that they banned their use as it is illegal. I mentioned the fact that there was a contract between the different companies but that's all the info I could get and i still cant use the national or international codes  ???!!?

Leave them, that is the only way these companies learn.

Virgin have banned some override codes have they?

Well, the Phone Co-Op have confirmed that their service is still available via a cable line. You dial an 0800 number first then get through to a second dial tone. First Telecom also offer a similar service. Might be worth signing up for one of these to at least address some cost issues (like the connection fee).

0800 override codes still working with Virgin:
First Telecom www.firsttele.com (post pay, monthly bill, calls only, £1 non DD fee)
The Phone Co-Op www.thephone.coop (post pay, monthly bill, calls only)
Telesave www.telesave.co.uk (pre pay, £10 topup min, online ministatements)
