Which Post Office exhange rate is better online or in branch?

Does anyone know do I get better foreign exchange rate in a Post Office branch or order online?

Online. We used the Travel Money Maximiser tool on this website and the Post Office Online came out as the second "best" for the currency that we wanted to buy. When you included the fees for the first "best", the Post Office turned out to give you more dollars for your pound.

And the money could be picked up from our local post office, as opposed to a "central London location" which wasn't convenient for us in the first option.

Vicky, do you know how quickly the money is available for collection at the PO? I was looking at this last night but we need the money on Wednesday so didn't want to risk ordering online. Was hoping they would have the same rate in branch.

if you order before 3pm, you can pick the currency up the following day from the PO you specify on the request.

There is a minimum order of £350 worth of currency bought online, and the rates are slightly better than at the PO counter
