I am sure their insurance is just fine - but their marketing methods leave a little to be desired.

Got an email at work to say that Budget were having a free car wash at the local Jewson and did we want to send our vans along.

Reading further into it - is seems that the car wash will be provided by 5 scantily clad models (their words not mine!) and perhaps we might enjoy getting into a lather and having a smile on our faces... it wasn't cute or funny - it was actually really smutty.

Oh please! I thought these kinds of things were well and truly behind us. I sent them a snotty reply suggesting they grow up. Can they not see that offending half the population isn't good for business.

And no I will not tell you where and when:rolleyes:

I very much doubt they are offending half the population or even a large percentage of it.

white van men, couriers etc is a trade dominated by men and most men will love it therefore its very good marketing

We would like to emphasise that this van wash was held in a light-hearted manner as a bit of fun to help raise cash for Budget Van Insurance's chosen charity; the NSPCC.

Van drivers are often getting stick for driving dirty vans so we thought this would be a great, fun way to send them off to work with a sparkling clean van.
