Clothes for bigger kids

I'm looking to buy a pretty dress for a little girl who is age 10. She has bowel/stomach problems so her tummy is very distended and it's really difficult to find kids clothes that have any chance of fitting. It's horrible for her that she has such trouble getting something pretty to wear. Can anyone suggest anywhere that might sell reasonably priced clothes to fit her? online or regular shops are fine.
PS hope this is the right place for this question, if not feel free to move..

If you search on eBay for custom flower girl/bridesmaid dresses, one of those might do as a party/prom dress for a bargain 40 quid or so. If you chose more of an (I think) empire line style it would not go in at the waist and avoid drawing attention to her tummy. Or, maybe a wrap dress - child or petite adult size - in a non clingy fabric. Can't think where to buy one though...0

Would this sort of thing be suitable?

Monsoon have got some lovely dresses, and they tend to be more empire line which might be suitable. They're a bit dear from the shop but if you get the name of the dress you like and look on ebay you can often get them (or something similar) really cheaply.0

Top and bottoms in different sizes??
A ladies size 8 or 10 fits my DD although she's only 9, the kids tops these days are made very short and leave a gap between her tummy and her trousers.
We got a lovely kids dress in MOnsoon sale the other week, it's a smock style, so lots of room around the tummy for anyone who needs it, but very pretty too. £16 iirc. it's this shape, a slightly different version, probably last season's.

Try some of the petit ranges in the shops in the smaller sizes.
Empire cut will be your best bet.
Or try an A-line skirt with a floaty top.

How about something like this....I'm pressuming as she is 10 she wouldn't want anything too floral/girlie. I have a rounded tum and find shift dresses flattering

hi adams have some very pretty dresses which are smock style and if you get them in the sale they can be really reasonable,
also matalan have lovely ones and the kids sizes go up to age 13 ,i get them for my niece who also has an extended tummy she is 8 and the age 13 gives her room to grow into without looking to big.
try and see if there are any cash and carry wharehouses by you as my SIL lives near one in glasgow and she has had really pretty flowergirl dresses from there for less than a tenner0
