Help? Cash from Virgin Card

Hi,
I have a Virgin card I want to use to get some cash for a new kitchen from. Our budget is £2,500. How do I go about using the cheques to put cash into my account and what rate will they charge? I have been on their website but it isn't clear and when I called I couldn't understand what they were talking about, so thought I would ask some experts! We have a clear balance on the card and a £5000 limit.
Many thanks

write it out to yourself and take it to your own bank, when you check your statement the bt fee will be on there as well. if it,s a new card then you,ll have zero % for 15 months if not then it,ll be best to find out your apr before going ahead incase it,s a lot.0

It's not a new card so I take it we will be charged the purchase APR on it then? Might not be such a good idea. Thanks for this. For some reason I thought I would get balance transfer rate ... confused but what you say makes sense. Not going to put a new kitchen in if it ends up costing a fortune on interest.0

ring them up and ask if they have any offers for you as you want to use the card for balance transfer you may be lucky and get a good deal, if they say yes say i want to BT 2500 to my current account. they use free phone numbers so call will not cost you anything.0
