can i buy a ready made internal door frame

in the process of errecting a partition wall indoors, can you buy 'ready made door frames' to build into your new stud wall? heard about ones made of metal that fit to your studwork and the you just add the wood for the finishing touch?
And are internal doors a standard size? im asking as at present there are none in my house!! :mad:

Timber merchants, builders merchants, or B&Q type outlets sell door carcasses. There are different 'thicknesses' available (depending on your wall structure), and they come ready rebated but flat-packed for self-assembly.

cheers people, whats the minimum recommended wall thickness for upstairs? very tight on space so moving and old block built wall over by about 30cm, dad has suggested 4"x2" the plasterboard on top, could i get away with 3" thick?

I've got a wall with 2x4, packed with that glass-wool stuff that keeps you itching for months, and plasterboard on both sides......it does it's job (divides bathroom and loo) but I wouldn't want such a wall for a bedroom used by adults
