How do I prove it?
My neighbour knocked this morning to say shethinks I hit her car when I backed out of the driveway this morning, my car hasn't been on the drive for 2 days but my husbands was. I said to her my car wasn't on the drive but she wouldn't listen. She said there are some scratches on mine she hadn't noticed before. The scratches on my car are very very old and I told her this, one on the bumper was there before I got the car and the one on the door was years ago when i bumped my hubbies old Mondeo. We argued the toss for a while and she wouldn't listen and when I said to her my car was on the road ALL NIGHT she just walked indoors. How can I prove this though? I KNOW it wasn't me, I rang my hubby who said he noticed her scratch at 5.30 this morning when he went to work and thought to himself 'oh dear, someones hit her car'. He is going to go round there to tell her this when he gets home but I am steaming about it all that I have been accused of this and she just walked away. Someone said to me to report what she said to the police but I can't see the point as I haven't done anything wrong so what do I do? Just ignore her and leave her to it or knock on doors to find neighbours who can prove my car was on the road all night.

I'd leave it alone tbh and give everything a chance to cool down...ask yourself what good hearding a bunch of neighbours around to her house as "witnesses" will actually do...0

Thanks, I wasn't thinking of taking them round her house it was just someone to back me up if she decides she wants to take it further. I know she has to prove it but the thing is can I prove it? I haven't seen the marks on her car but my husband said they are quite high up and there is no way that my car would be able to damage hers so high up on her hatchback anyway. I'll just leave it and if she decides to take it further I know I am innocent but it just doesn't stop me worrying.0 -
Tell her to take a run and jump! She just wants someone to blame and your it! I would waste my breath getting worked up over it but folk like that really get on my nerves though.0

It's up to her to prove it. Let her sweat.0

It was probably a supermarket car-park special and she'd not noticed it before...:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0

if she comes back offer to call the police, im sure they could do some forensics, but i would imagine they would just tell her to shut her trap0

Thank you all, I will leave it to my hubby to go round this evening and if she argues with him I've told him to walk away cos the last time he confronted her over something (yes she is a serial neighbour from hell) it ended in an almighty row. I will do as you say though and if she kicks off then offer to ring the police and see cos I know I am telling the truth & have nothing to hide so therefore have nothing to worry about.0

You have a bad neighbor Don't bother.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0
