Quote for renovating a small bathroom. Seems expensive?

I have a small bathroom, probably 5ft by 8/9ft long, I want the partition lat and plaster wall between the bathroom and spare room knocking down and rebuiling about 50cms into the spare room to make the bathroom bigger, the bath and sink swapping round so re-plumbing required but all pipes are in the right place to do it, then re-tiling (we're supplying tiles) towel rail fitted in same place radiator was (we're supplying towel rail) and a shaver socket putting in (we're supplying). Loo staying where it is. Quote = £2600!!!! My bathroom suite didnt cost that much but to do that work is that a reasonable quote?

My quote was £1600 in the Midlands - just labour. I never needed a wall knocked out or anything moved around, it was to re-skim walls, tiling and install new bathroom suite, shower, extractor fan and towel radiator.
You right the bathroom suite won't cost that much but if you consider the plastering, tiling, installing suite, etc it all adds up. Your adding an additional a socket in the bathroom which needs to comply with Part 'P' Building Regulations.0 -

A comparision for you. Our room is 270cm x 180cm. We got a quote for £2300 to fit (that meant moving the radiator to opposite wall, and switching the bath and sink around, loo staying where it is). Tiling floor and walls, but us removing all tiles first. We have to supply the radiator, suite, taps and tiles. We're on the surrey/hampshire border. So comparing it with my quote it does sound reasonable sadly. Best thing is to get more quotes.0
