Should I now take it to court?

Sorry if I have posted in the wrong place, please feel free to move.

I have had an ongoing complain with UU since Dec 07. Please see prev thread. I have emailed the MD at UU, and his response has shocked me. The details he presents in his letter to me are untrue, for example he states that I was unhappy with the colour of the pointing- I might be thick but I assumed it only came in one colour. He also states that it is not there responsibility that my new carpet is ruined because of them, but in 9 months all I have had is a partial jet wash because the workmanship was that shoddy it was bringing up the original pointing. There is still sewarge in my edging stones, this is what is getting on my carpet.

He has basically said that is there final response to the matter. Should I take it further, I have been promised comp for missed appointments and he failed to mention that in his response. I just dont know what to do. I cannot afford to have it all redone- yet this is what it needs.

If anyone can help then thank you so much in advance.

Sorry United Utilities. There was a collapsed drain, they had to dig up 70% of the rear yard. And failed to restore it back to the way it was.

But what's the collapsed drain got to do with a carpet, and why do you have edging stones on your carpet??? Sorry, your post doesn't make much sense.

    I'm confused!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Have tried C.C. they just reffered it to another dept- who have only listened to the contractors- not me.

The carpet got ruined because they have never cleaned up there mess. The edging stones are outside and are full of human waste. This is being walked into the house via the dog. I have not yet managed to train her to wipe her feet when she comes in. lol.

My point is if they had done the job as they were suppost to- sorted the drains, re-laid the flags correctly, and the disinfected and jet washed. This would not have happened. But they seem to be incapable of admitting any fault, and it would appear incorrect notes have been put on the system, stating I have said things that I haven't.
