virgin credit card problems

Decided to do new balance transfer with virgin at the begining of July on line with transfer info, account number etc............. said it had been successful so waited for new statement to arrive only to find out through phone call to virgin that they didn't have details so no transfer had been made...now been charged £12 late charge by Nat West for late payment (wasn't due till 12th Aug)............thought you were supposed to be saving me money Martin?
Makesure all who transfer with virgin to check even if you think its gone through like I did.

I don't know why you didn't pay Natwest as normal.

When doing balance transfers the company offering the balance transfer always tell you to make sure you keep your payments on your current card.

You can't blame Martin for that.

You could try contacting Natwest and see if they would refund you the £12. Has anyone managed to do this before?

First time 'offences' are usually refunded providing you explain the circumstance, make an immediate payment (the one you missed) and generally suck up to the CSA a little.
If you have a history of missing payments you won't be so fortunate.

Why did you stop making your normal payment ?
