Can you switch ISA's without starting from scratch?

Options
Hello, is it possible to move savings from one ISA to another completely different one or do you have to start from scratch if you want to move?

e.g. if I have £10,000 in one ISA can I switch this over to another ISA and still be eligible to put another £7,200 in next year to make it £17,200?

thanks :)

  • yes, it is possible to switch ISA providers.

Make sure neither of the providers are treating this as a withdrawal and new deposit for that year.

Easily done. You just need a transfer application from the new provider. it doesnt use any ISA allowance.
