email not working

windows live mail has not been work for the last couple of days, I keep getting this message,
Unable to send or receive messages for the ********* account. Your 'Inbox' folder was not polled for its unread count. The operation was canceled by the user.
Server Response: Authentication failed.
Server: 'mail1.mainnameserver.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800C006F
Protocol: IMAP

My wife asked our 11 year old to delete some emails, i think something has been changed, can anyone help please?

Not sure but if you want you can try to sign in using another browser?
I assume you use internet explorer? If so then install firefox

The OP is not using a browser, so an alternative one will not help!
