London Luton airport-Kilburn

Options
Can anyone advise of the best route to take from London Luton airport to Kilburn in London. I am arriving on the Saturday morning and returning on the Sunday afternoon. What is the best type of ticket to buy?

Thanks
Val :)

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but you buy a ticket to West Hampstead, then it is just one stop on the Jubilee Line from the tube station 50 metres away, really quick.

I do not think there is any advantage to buying Luton train tickets early, so buy at station (please correct me if wrong anyone?) and get an Oyster
card for your short tube journey.

The train is probably fastest but you could also look at the easybus service from Luton to Finchley Road, and then either the Jubilee line or London Overground to Kilburn or jump in a cab.

Thanks for your help. Can I get a train from London Luton Parkway direct to West Hampstead?

Yes, normally a train every 15 minutes at weekends, takes about 30 minutes.

The train station is not attached to Luton Airport though - there is a free bus that takes 5 odd minutes to get there. Very simple to find once you are at the station though.

Funnily enough, I used this a week ago, and when I asked for the ticket at the station I was asked if I had used the "free" bus and when I replied (truthfully) "yes", I was charged a little extra for the train ticket. I think.
