where on the phone did they live ?
internal memory or removable storage (micro sd etc)
The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.

Ah, in that case you stand a chance. Any of the freeware undelete tools should be able to do it if you can put it in a card reader connected to a PC.

If you get a drive letter (like a flash drive) when you plug the phone and card in via USB, you should be go to go.

You could try recuva , which generally works quite well.
    Russia is HERE

you can probably get the ones from the card back, but the ones on the internal memory are pretty much gone forever

ive used recuva but it doesnt get all of the stuff back and it gets the names all wrong,, (gives me a name of something but thats not what the file was called and gives it a different pic)
  • There is a linux utility - photorec which will do the job, just plug the phone in and run it.

It maybe possible to run it under Cygwin, if not try and find someone with Linux who can help you out. It can recover more than just the .jpg file type
