I know it's a stupid question, but can someone explain how to post pictures. Step by step please as I am rubbish at this sort of thing.
On the bottom left of the page it says you MAY NOT post attatchments.
Has this anything to do with it and if so, why?
Thanks in advance!

1. Go to http://imageshack.us/
2. Click on the browse button and choose the image from your computer.
3. Click "host it" at the bottom.
4. After uploading, scroll to the very bottom of the page and copy the text where it says "Direct link to image".
5. Now you can post your image here by putting in0 -

This is to stop you attaching files and programs which could contain viruses, malware, etc.
Pics are OK, as long as you host them yourself and follow the instructions above.
The reason for hosting the pics yourself is that many sites don't like you "hot linking," as it's called, from their site as you're effectively using their bandwidth, which they pay for. They can (and do) block this type of linking and sometimes change the picture for something a lot less desirable.Dave. :wave:0 -
Hey,
If you see a picture you want to attach to a post from a website then do the following:
1. which will "close" the image and make it viewable into the post like this
which is [img][/img]http://images.play.com/covers/3436802m.jpg this is what it looks like as a code <<<< and the Ironman is what it is without the spacing. The size of the image will be exact from how big it was on the website you take the coding from because they would set the sizes.
Or if its your own pictures then use photobucket or similar and it already gives you the URL address.
hope this helps
