Help Re Gas Fire

I've just had a new gas fire fitted. It's a flame effect fire made by FocalPoint. The issue I have is that, I was expecting a nice yellow flame flicker, but all I seem to get is a big blue flame or next to nothing. I'm wondering if there is a fault or if this is all I should expect?

How long have you left the fire on for & have you given it enough time to build up the heat properly? When I first put my fire on I get a blue flame & after it's been on for a little while the flame then gets the tones of the nice warming orangy yellow colours also.
If you are in any doubt, then phone the helpline of the manufacturer of your fire. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Yes I've left it on for a few hours hoping it just needed time to warm up and maybe even "bed in" as it's brand new. No change. I'm going to remove all the coals and re-seat them and see if that makes any difference.0

Re-seating the coals has helped a lot. I don't think the fitter left enough room around the coals for the flames to burn properly,0
